Mercury Enters Cancer

Today, the Messenger of the Gods, Mercury, moves from his place of power and strength in Gemini, to the deep emotional and intuitive, family oriented sign of Cancer.

Mercury, although not at his strongest self here in Cancer, plays a very important role of communicating our deep seated emotions involving the family dynamic, with a clarity and intelligence that has us expressing ourselves from an emotionally intense stand point.

Mercury’s logic and practicality get slightly blurred during his time in Cancer, but once an emotion is triggered, he does use his power to make us contemplate and process the emotion fully, before we express our thoughts and feelings to others.

Because Mercury rules the mental plane, and Cancer rules our heart space, you will see a beautiful dance between the two, meeting in the middle where the throat chakra is located. This is a time of heightened sensitivity and awareness, and will have us connecting the dots, unpacking our pain, and speaking our truth with such clarity and ease that we won’t even believe how fluid our conversations and interactions with others will be.

Don’t be fooled though, we are talking about some very intense emotions here. These are the conversations that we’ve been avoiding and that we’d rather not have. But because the goal of this energy is to give us emotional and intuitive insight, blended with the intellectual insight we are piecing together in the mental plane, we really will have a totally different perspective on our home and family dynamic. We are emotionally charged and intellectually centered.

This, although a time where domestic disputes could be on the rise, we also have an opportunity for a huge emotional clearing as we put closure to some long term family issues and traumas. The role of Mother could be triggered for many people as Cancer rules the Mother figure and the role of family nurturer.

It’s also going to be a time where we stand up for ourselves and let others know what we need to feel safe, secure and supported. This is about nurturing ourselves as easily as we nurture others.

Use this energy to clear the air on any family drama, any topics surrounding what it is you need from your loved ones, and a time to heal some emotional Mother wounds.

Welcome To Cancer Season & The Summer Solstice

Today marks the Summer Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere, when we experience the longest day of the year, and the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

Here, in the Northern Hemisphere, the Solstice represents the peak of the year and the point of highest energy. We have had a pretty tough first part of the year, and luckily for us, even being in the intense eclipse and retrograde season, the second half of this year will be more about cleaning up the mess the first part of the year created. Make no mistake though, we still have lots to learn and many shifts to endure.

The Summer Solstice is a time of light, masculinity and outward expansion. We can expect the power of the Sun to light up and illuminate everything that now needs our focus and attention.

The Southern Hemisphere is experiencing the lowest point of energy for the year. The Winter Solstice is a time of darkness, femininity, and inward expansion. Southern Hemisphere natives will find themselves in a reflective state as they are in the season of death preparing for rebirth.

Regardless of where you are at in the world, you can feel the energy of the changing seasons by observing Mother Nature. Her energy in the North provides sunny days, warmer weather, with bright blue skies and rich greenery all around. The wildlife is alive, growing, and singing their songs of a new solar season. In the South, the days are dark, cold, and dreary. The colors of the sky and land are grey. There are no birds singing and chirping, as the season calls for rest.

Even though there are differences in the energy of the Solstice, the planetary or cosmic energy is the same no matter where you live.

There are beautiful patterns among the stars as they set us up to experience  lessons in a way that allows the energy to build and become clearer and stronger as the planetary alignments take place. The Solstice lends us the energy to see the things we need to focus on in a brand new light, as the Sun reaches the peak in the sky.

The Sun moves into Cancer today triggering the Solstice, which lends us a softer energy to work with as we face these new issues and themes as they arise in the light of the Sun. The Sun in Cancer will have you focusing more on your family and your home life. This gentle water sign will have you feeling a bit more sentimental than usual, and calls your attention to the home and what part of you, and others, need to be more nurtured.

The cosmic energy around the Solstice is taking place at the tale end of eclipse season, while Mercury is still retrograde, and days before the Full Moon. This is an intense energy, almost like the heavens are beaming down on us and lighting up areas of our lives that are screaming for attention.

We are all going to be called upon to step into our fullest potential and begin aligning with our purpose and our highest path. Up until this point in the year, we were being asked to question our reality, what we wanted to see change and have the end result of our vision come into real life. The second half of the year, from today onward, will be taking action to make the changes necessary to have you more aligned with your purpose by the time 2021 comes to an end.

Use this Solstice energy to make a final edit, and review the final changes to your vision. This is the final draft. You will have the opportunity to release the themes and issues that need to be let go of before your vision can come into reality. Make sure the blueprint you have for your life is solid. Take the time to think about the small details and make changes accordingly. A lot can happen in 6 months, and whether you believe it or not, you will be living a better version of the life you're currently living, if not a totally new version of life altogether, by the end of this year.

It is time to build bigger dreams, have higher ambitions, and to find more and more joy. In fact, if you don’t know where to start with all of this energy, start by following your joy and the rest will fall into place.

Life is strange sometimes, but remember that aside from all the lessons and growth, we are here to have fun. Focus on using the cosmic energy of the Solstice to bring in as much joy into your life as you can. Set a foundation of happiness to grow on, because we are about to start building our dreams with much more passion and determination than you ever thought you had inside you.

Venus Enters Cancer

Today, Venus, the Goddess of Love, beauty, money, and long-term commitments, moves into Cancer, bringing a welcomed change to all of our relationships, our homes, and our own feelings and sentiments. In astrology, it’s Venus that often dictates our love lives, our worth, and what we seek in our long term plans.

Venus has finished up her time in Gemini, which was probably a rockier time for most of us. Venus in Gemini had us divided within ourselves and had us conflicted within our own relationships. We were divided between our heart and our head. We seemed to have different thoughts and opinions compared to those around us. And we definitely felt torn down the middle on everything we had to think about.

Now with Venus entering into soft and sentimental Cancer, we will see a shift within ourselves and our relationships with love, money, and the future, because Cancer is where Venus’ heart feels at home. Venus excels here, she’s comfortable here, which is important because it’s these qualities that will be surfacing for all of us in the coming weeks. Venus’ placement in Cancer triggers her wants, needs, and desires for a home, a family, and something that is so stable and grounding she never has to fear losing it. We tend to reflect on the past to gain perspective on what is most important and where we can level up our own safety and values.

During this transit, we can expect some big changes, especially with the eclipse portal still being wide open pushing us to level up into new realities. This means that our relationships will be changing and likely will be getting much more serious.

Venus moving into Cancer is the ultimate time for upping your love game and getting serious about your commitments to yourself and another person. Don't be surprised at how romantically ewey and gooey you get over the next several weeks, as there are parts of you being awakened by this planetary shift. Mars Enters Cancer

Mars -the warrior planet ruling drive, action, energy, passion, and even anger - moving from the battlefield of the mental plane into the emotionally, intuitive nurturing sign of Cancer.

Mars' time in Gemini allowed us to think aggressively about what we want inn life and pushed us to engage in some deep thinking about the options we have before us. As time went on, and with a little bit of help from Mercury shifting into Taurus, thoughts and ideas became clear, processing the details of our lives picked up speed, and we got more logical with how we discerned who and what needed our attention and energy.

Mars in Gemini allowed us to express and communicate ourselves with more bravery and courage. Now with the warrior planet moving into a placement of weakened strength for him, we will see the effects of this energy in how we focus our energy, how we take action on issues, and where our emotions may get the better of us.

Mars is a masculine fire sign, acting on impulse and asserting itself by whatever means necessary to go after whatever is the main focus. Mars is a passionate energy and has a hard time balancing its passion with its aggression. Because Cancer is a water sign, it really slows Mars down after going what he wants. It makes Mars have to stop and consider the emotional state of his actions and the repercussions he could face if he exerted his force. This isn't something Mars is used to, and so it does have a tendency to cause some frustration.

Cancer embodies the feminine energy of the Mother role, ruled by the Moon, while Mars is a masculine energy that doesn't enjoy being told what to do. With Mars in Cancer we will see the focus shift to our home and family. We will have to do our best to try and avoid domestic disputes as emotions tend to run high under this transit.

This is a great time to see where we aren't feeling nurtured, and where we may need to step back in the nurturing of others. ARIES

After last year had you breaking down some illusions around who it is that you are, and what it is that you need to be doing in life, you had your strength tested in order to break you down in order to have a breakthrough. Your inner warrior re-emerged empowering you to make the right choices, especially in your career. Now that Mars (your ruler) is moving out of Aries and into Taurus, you will now see a time to slow down and carefully refine the relationships of value, and the skills and talents that you have that you've been keeping in the dark. Creating a stable foundation is necessary in order to plan for the future. This month is about tapping into your higher intelligence and allowing your intuition to create a vision for the future. This will allow you to build upon all the foundations in which you've already created. There will be a huge stabilization in your financial security as far as your career is concerned. SAGITTARIUS

You're being asked to put a huge focus on building a solid routine in your life. Venus Enters Cancer

Today, Venus, the Goddess of Love, beauty, money, and long-term commitments, moves into Cancer, bringing a welcomed change to all of our relationships, our homes, and our own feelings and sentiments. In astrology, it’s Venus that often dictates our love lives, our worth, and what we seek in our long term plans.

Venus has finished up her very long and extended time in Gemini, which was probably a rockier time for most of us. Venus in Gemini had us divided within ourselves and had us conflicted within our own relationships. We were divided between our heart and our head. We seemed to have different thoughts and opinions compared to those around us. And we definitely felt torn down the middle on everything we had to think about.

Now with Venus entering into soft and sentimental Cancer, we will see a shift within ourselves and our relationships with love, money, and the future, because Cancer is where Venus’ heart feels at home. Venus excels here, she’s comfortable here, which is important because it’s these qualities that will be surfacing for all of us in the coming weeks. August is going to a pretty intense month as we enter the month already in the Lion’s Gate portal window of opportunity. We start with a liberating full moon in Aquarius while Uranus - Aquarius’ ruler - squares off with the fiery energy of the Sun. The biggest event we have this month is the Lion’s Gate portal on 8/8 where we are at the Sun’s peak in Leo season, aligning with the star Sirius to receive some pretty intense downloads as we lock in and anchor in our new timelines that we’ve been working on since the Spring.

Mercury Goes Direct In Cancer

Finally! After three too many weeks of mercury (the planet of information, communication, and expression) being water logged in all the emotional waters of the home and family dynamic, we are ready to start seeing things clearly and moving out of the deep end.

Mercury first entered into Cancer back in May, and made for a messy turn of events where our feelings were concerned. Mercury in emotional and intuitive Cancer made us hyper-sensitive and the shutdown in our mental clarity didn’t help us to sort through how we were thinking and feeling very easily. Mercury caused all kinds of miscommunications, and misunderstandings especially in our close relationships. It brought up a lot of triggers within our own emotional security. It showed us where we need to implement more boundaries in our lives in order to protect ourselves and our energy.

When mercury went retrograde, it started retracing its steps, moving back over the topics and issues created years earlier, and in true retrograde fashion, dug up all kinds of lessons we all thought we were done with.

Now with Mercury going direct again, he is giving us a two week shadow period to try and clean up the mess we've made since May. Our mental game will come back online and help us to make sense of all we’ve been thinking and feeling. The waterworks are definitely over, but prepare yourself for one last cry as we revisit the topics and things that upset us many moons ago.

With mercury now moving forward, we will see situations resolve themselves. We will feel the clarity come back into our mental space, and we are going to be able to express ourselves, communicate our thoughts and feelings effectively and actually have them understood.

Because lots has happened to us since mercury first entered cancer, and as it went retrograde (most specifically eclipse season among retrograde season) coming out of this backward motion may take some time. It would be an ideal time to check out what mercury entering into cancer started the first time around, what mercury going retrograde had you facing, and seeing what your focus is coming out of the fog.

With the other major planets still in retrograde we will be forced to think about what is best for us. What is best for our family. Where can we get back to the basics. Chiron just went retrograde yesterday, creating a perfect storm of healing where our ego and identity is concerned. With mercury now direct in cancer we will no doubt be able to see where we’ve been sacrificing ourselves for others, where we need to nurture ourselves, and where we can let go of some generational trauma we’ve been holding onto by allowing the pain in our families stay alive within us.

Mercury goes direct in cancer will allow us to think and feel more directly and as such, give us a brand new perspective on how to make our hearts and our heads come together in alignment to push us forward.

New Moon In Cancer/Solar Eclipse

Today our New Moon in Cancer takes place also acting as our 2nd eclipse (of a series of 3) activating the solar eclipse energy. The portal of acceleration opened up a few weeks ago with our first Full Moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5th. We are at the half way point of the eclipse gateway which will conclude after the full moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 5th. It is very rare to have 3 eclipses taking place like this in a back to back fashion, but seeing as 2020 really is the weirdest year we’ve experienced in a long time, this cosmic rarity really shouldn’t be all that surprising at this point. This portal is a time when the earth, and everyone on it, receives huge amounts of energetic light rays that appear to speed up the events and timelines of our life lessons.

A solar eclipse has the ability to gift us with something that we were already set to receive in our life. It's as if the Universe is tired with how long it is taking us to align ourselves with where we need to be, and who we need to be with. The Universe speeds up our timelines, creating a series of events that we essentially zoom through in order to be in a better position for the physical changes we can expect to see in the second half of this year. These are not wildcard events, these are elements which were already written into our path, we've just been taking our sweet @ss time in making them happen.

Because this is happening with the New Moon in Cancer, it makes what would have already been a new energy cycle being initiated surround the home, the family dynamic, the mother wound, and the way we care for ourself, even that much more amplified.

Cancer energy represents the Moon, the magic within the feminine divine. We are essentially healing the generational wounds of our ancestors, by acknowledging and mending the trauma wounds that have been passed down in our families.

Having a solar eclipse with the new moon in Cancer is like having a new moon on steroids. It brings the classic energy of starting a new emotional cycle as the moon brings back her light to shine over the world.

This tidal wave of energy has been felt over the last couple of days, creating an emotional shitshow in even the most stable of people. As the moon was in her dark phase building up to her moment to shine once again, we were left to sit in the darkness with our shadow selves. The emergence of the moons illumination now moving into her new phase will take away all of what surfaced within us, clearing us for a new energy cycle to work with. We are processing our emotions at an accelerated rate within this tidal wave of energy, leaving the old structures of our emotions behind.

This cosmic event hits really close to home. It washes over our heart space and shows us where we need to have more compassion for ourselves, and where we need to work on providing ourselves a sense of inner security. This energy will infuse us with an inner strength to master our emotions, and recognize that external events cannot sway us from the faith, strength, and belief we have within ourselves.

We are entering into a new phase of life, where we get to choose our emotions, our response to external triggers, and essentially to the emotional experience itself. This is a time for us to emerge out of the darkness of both the Sun and the Moon recognizing that we need to consciously choose to see and experience love in all we do. If nothing else, let the take away from this karmic event be that you must stop looking for anything less than love, in all that you experience.

Welcome To Cancer Season & The Summer Solstice

Today marks the Summer Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere, when we experience the longest day of the year, and the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

Here, in the Northern Hemisphere, the Solstice represents the peak of the year and the point of highest energy. We have had a pretty tough first part of the year, and luckily for us, even being in the intense eclipse and retrograde season, the second half of this year will be more about cleaning up the mess the first part of the year created. Make no mistake though, we still have lots to learn and many shifts to endure.

The Summer Solstice is a time of light, masculinity and outward expansion. We can expect the power of the Sun to light up and illuminate everything that now needs our focus and attention.

The Southern Hemisphere is experiencing the lowest point of energy for the year. The Winter Solstice for them, is a time of darkness, femininity, and inward expansion. Southern Hemisphere natives will find themselves in a reflective state as they are in the season of death preparing for rebirth.

Regardless of where you are at in the world, you can feel the energy of the changing seasons by observing Mother Nature. Her energy in the North provides sunny days, warmer weather, with bright blue skies and rich greenery all around. The wildlife is alive, growing, and singing their songs of a new solar season. In the South, the days are dark, cold, and dreary. The colors of the sky and land are grey. There are no birds singing and chirping, as the season calls for rest.

Even though there are differences in the energy of the Solstice, the planetary or cosmic energy is the same no matter where you live.

There are beautiful patterns among the stars as they set us up to experience  lessons in a way that allows the energy to build and become clearer and stronger as the planetary alignments take place. The Solstice lends us the energy to see the things we need to focus on in a brand new light, as the Sun reaches the peak in the sky.

The Sun moves into Cancer today triggering the Solstice, which lends us a softer energy to work with as we face these new issues and themes as they arise in the light of the Sun. The Sun in Cancer will have you focusing more on your family and your home life. This gentle water sign will have you feeling a bit more sentimental than usual, and calls your attention to the home and what part of you, and others, need to be more nurtured.

The cosmic energy around the Solstice and taking place smack dab in eclipse season, holds an intense energy, almost like the heavens are beaming down on us and lighting up areas of our lives that are screaming for attention.

We are all going to be called upon to step into our fullest potential and begin aligning with our purpose and our highest path. Up until this point in the year, we were being asked to question our reality, what we wanted to see change and have the end result of our vision come into real life. The second half of the year, from today onward, will be taking action to make the changes necessary to have you living your dream by the time 2020 comes to an end.

Use this Solstice energy to make a final edit, and review the final changes to your vision. This is the final draft. You will have the opportunity to release the themes and issues that need to be let go of before your vision can come into reality. Make sure the blueprint you have for your life is solid. Mercury Retrogrades In Cancer

Today, the planet of information, communication, and expression goes retrograde joining the other major heavy hitting planets already in retrograde. Mercury when retrograde, usually slows down our mental processes making the way we see things, and how we interpret information a bit cloudy and skewed.

Mercury retrogrades have the tendency to take us back in the past, to revisit some topics and themes that require attention and a new closure, and to reassess our plans before moving forward.

Now with Mercury retrograding in Cancer, we will be feeling a bit more sensitive and nostalgic than normal. The family dramatics will resurface, rearranging the family dynamic and reconstructing the boundaries we have in place to protect ourselves, but with Mercury now retrograde in Cancer, the emotional, and sensitive reactions will overtake what has been heated and fiery.

We are still in a time of reassessment of our plans, re-evaluating what isn't working and what needs to be tweaked, but under the Gemini energy, we are still very divided in our own thoughts and feelings. Mercury retrograding in Cancer gives us the opportunity to apply our intuition to what it is we are reviewing. Our softer sentiments can smooth the edges of what was a very fiery, hot topic, and help us to truly connect our emotions to these situations instead of allowing our ego & pride get in the way.

Today, the Messenger of the Gods, Mercury, moves from his place of power and strength in Gemini, to the deep emotional and intuitive, family oriented sign of Cancer.

Mercury, although not at his strongest self here in Cancer, plays a very important role of communicating our deep seated emotions involving the family dynamic, with a clarity and intelligence that has us expressing ourselves from an emotionally intense stand point.

Mercury’s logic and practicality get slightly blurred during his time in Cancer, but once an emotion is triggered, he does use his power to make us contemplate and process the emotion fully, before we express our thoughts and feelings to others.
